I’m not a writer. . .
I wasn’t an English major. In fact, English was never my strongest subject. But I’ve always loved going to the library. As a kid, I would bring home stacks and stacks of books. In high school, I found my love of Romance books. I would read at least five a week. Safe to say I was probably close to reading all of the Romance books my small library offered.
I spent years working in the music industry and then roles in Project Management and Marketing. The most fun part of my jobs? Writing.
It could have been writing social media posts, emails, radio ads or landing pages – didn’t matter, it thrilled me. So it shouldn’t have felt so out of the blue when one day a few years later, I decided to take an online class on novel writing. But let me tell you. . . I didn’t finish the course.
Two lessons in, I took a few minutes to work on a writing prompt and my debut novel was born. I didn’t look back. Less than a month later, I had completed my first novel with notes in my phone for several others.
I may not be a traditional author but my experience comes from being an avid reader. A lover of love. I write fun, light hearted books that are the perfect everyday escape. Come with me to Little Prairie, Oklahoma or Caney Creek, Tennessee!
